Alpha Gamma Delta is committed to providing our collegiate members with the education and programming necessary for the success of both the chapter and the individual.
Fraternity Education
During the first phase of membership, each new member of an Alpha Gamma Delta chapter learns about Fraternity policies, history, ideals and her responsibilities as a member using resources such as the New Member Guide.
In addition to educating our members on Fraternity policies and history, Alpha Gamma Delta provides extensive programming for the personal development of our members. Our goal is to bring life skills education to each member to prepare her for life beyond her experiences at college. The Fraternity is please to announce its new educational program, called The Alpha Gamma Delta Experience. Click here to view a short video clip about this new program.
All members of the Fraternity are required to take and pass GreekLifeEdu, a non-opinionated, science-based course that aims not to preach but rather to teach the facts about alcohol, hazing and sexual assault. GreekLifeEdu empowers students to make well-informed decisions and provides some simple strategies to help keep you and your friends safe. GreekLifeEdu has three modules of content featuring videos, discussion boards, blogs, interactive activities and more!
Leadership Development
Alpha Gamma Delta promotes leadership development through resources like the Collegiate Leadership Manual, self-assessment tools and various other programs that help to cultivate and recognize leadership skills. In addition, The Leadership Institute—Women with Purpose Inc., a cooperative effort between the Fraternity and the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, provides educational programming for the development and enhancement of leadership skills of women. Scholarships are also awarded each year to collegians for leadership training programs, like the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute and LeaderShape.
